Earlier, the Ga Mantse had been discharged from the University of Ghana Medical Centre after receiving treatment. His discharge came shortly after President Mahama visited him on the evening of Saturday, February 21, 2026. The Ga Mantse was involved in a road accident in the early hours of Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Palace sources revealed that the Ga Mantse had travelled to the Northern Region on a private visit at the invitation of the Yaa Naa.
