Wealthy Nairobi businessman, Jimmy Wanjigi, who is said to have financed Raila Odinga’s presidential campaigns ahead of the Tuesday, August 8, election, now says his life is in danger. The billionaire filed a report at the Gigiri Police Station on Sunday, September 10, following a visit from a senior State House official who visited him at home to warn him of a “real and imminent threat to his life”, Zipo.co.ke has learnt. Wanjigi says strange people and vehicles have been trailing him for the past month and now wants police protection at his own cost. There is a larger scheme to harm me, a real and persistent threat against my life,” Wanjigi noted. The matter is currently under investigation but Wanjigi is yet to get a response about his request for police protection.
