Kiambu Senator Kimani Wamatangi has said the Senate has made devolution a reality by pushing for more development funds. It has also made sure counties are given funds to run devolution functions," Wamatangi said in Banana village. He was responding to criticism by governors after the Senate failed to approve the schedule for the disbursement of county funds last Friday due to lack of quorum. “Therefore, we are suspending appearances to the Senate as governors until these issues are addressed,” he said. Council of Governors chairman Peter Munya said county operations were being hurt by lack of funds.
