Share TweetBy Vanne Elaine TerrazolaSenator Cynthia Villar is seeking the passage of a law that would prohibit the use of single-use plastics in the country. 333 or the proposed Single-Use Plastic Product Regulation Act, which would control the manufacturing, importation and use of single-use plastic products. 333 proposed to prohibit the issuance of the single-use plastics by food establishments, stores, markets, and retailers. In her bill, Villar also sought the creation of a “Special Fund for Single-use Plastic Regulation” which would be composed of collected tariffs, levies and fees.
