LUNDU: A 26-year-old Indonesian man was beaten up and stripped to his underwear by members of the public after they caught him and another man trying to steal a motorcycle near here this morning. In the 8am incident, the group of villagers spotted the suspect and his accomplice trying to pick the lock of a Yamaha 125Z in Kampung Stunggang here. A short chase on foot ensued between the villagers and the duo before one of them were caught and beaten up. Several pictures showing the suspect, only in his underwear with his hands and legs tied, went viral on social media. He said the suspect, 27, was hiding inside a fishing boat in Sungai Kayan here.
