KUALA LUMPUR: The Penang state government should be held responsible for the lost of lives in the Tanjung Bungah landslide tragedy, Tenaganita said today. “The calls of the people, the lives of workers or the general public do not seem important, but what seemed crucial are “development”, “business” and “profit”. “Therefore, we solely hold the Penang state government accountable for the lost lives,” said Glorene in a statement today. “All migrant workers who have been injured of lost their lives must be fully compensated, regardless of their status. On Saturday, a landslide struck a construction side in Lengkok Lembah Permai, Tanjung Bungah; killing 11 of its workers, including a Malaysian.
