Srinagar, Dec. 3: Security forces have been accused of killing a state government employee last night in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, triggering massive protests today. Police sources said an operation had been launched to catch two militants who were hiding in a house in the Chancer area of Kulgam. Some local people alleged the forces killed the 39-year-old fisheries department worker in cold blood after the militants escaped. They said Kumar and some of his colleagues were on night duty when security force personnel knocked on their door. Fisheries department staff have demanded action against the guilty security personnel.
