Invercargill chef has started his own business, Chef on Call, after being made redundant in June. Within two weeks of finishing at the Ascot Park Hotel Knight had started his own unique business called, Chef on Call. His business model was different given he was targeting smaller groups, rather than larger gatherings like weddings and other bigger functions. Although he had already cooked for two different groups at their homes to date, and has a third appointment on Friday. Knight’s business start-up was another off-shoot following Covid-19 and the various redundancies across different sectors.
