Investments, Trade and Industry CS Moses Kuria now wants retired President Uhuru Kenyatta to respect President William Ruto and accept that he won the elections. Kuria said the Mt Kenya region is a shareholder in the current government and they will not take anything less from the former President. "Uhuru Kenyatta must respect President William Ruto and accept that he won the elections. The Mt Kenya region is both a great shareholder of this Government and we won't take the nonsense anymore," he said. In the 2022 general election, Uhuru openly backed and campaigned for a Raila presidency but he lost to William Ruto.
