US Ambassador to Bangladesh Earl R Miller visits Rajshahi on Friday, March 29, 2019 Dhaka TribuneUS educational, cultural exchanges and economic engagements promotedUS Ambassador in Dhaka, Earl R Miller, visited Rajshahi to promote US educational and cultural exchanges, economic engagement, and law enforcement cooperation in the region. The US ambassador was welcomed by Rajshahi City Mayor, AHM Khairuzzaman Liton, upon arrival on Wednesday. He paid his respects to martyrs of our Liberation War, laying a wreath at the Rajshahi University Shaheed Minar. Miller also inaugurated the new American Corner at Varendra University, reviewed US-supported cultural preservation work at the Varendra Research Museum, and presented certificates to students in the English Access Microscholarship Program. At the Corner, Ambassador Miller met US Department of State exchange program alumni who have participated in programs on journalism, English teaching, civil society, biological research, and more during their US visits.
