Police received reports of the alleged approach on Woodham Rd in Linwood. A man carrying a knife allegedly approached two young girls in Christchurch. The girls were approached on Woodham Rd, near England St, in the suburb of Linwood, about 3pm on Monday. Police received two separate reports on Monday about the incident, one at 3.30pm and the other at 4pm, a police spokeswoman said. The reports suggested the two girls, who were “pre-teens” were approached by a man carrying a small knife.
