GEORGE TOWN: Two private hospitals in Penang may take part in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, says Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow. "From informal sources in the private healthcare sector, two private hospitals in Penang have been identified," he told reporters on Friday (March 12). Chow said the matter was raised during a recent meeting with Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin, who welcomed it. "I brought up this matter during my stakeholders session with Khairy - the offer of private medical practitioners' intention to take part in the vaccination programme. "For the details, I think it is better for the minister himself to make the announcement when it is ready," Chow added after an event in Wisma Yeap Chor Ee near Pengkalan Weld.
