Police in Webuye on Tuesday arrested two men suspected to be behind the beating of a former councillor. He said his officers arrested Noah Wekesa, alias Sikoli, and Patrick Wanjala in their houses in Webuye after a tip-off from the public. Odumbe said police have intensified patrols in Webuye to curb increasing insecurity. Bungoma East police boss Isaac Odumbe said Ben Wambalahba was beaten unconscious. Odumbe said they hit him on the neck and head using crude weapons before fleeing.
