KOTA KINABALU: Two ex-convicts, including one who had just been released from jail, were arrested for armed robbery in the city. The suspects, aged 28 and 31, were nabbed in separate locations on Nov 14 and 15 after two men were robbed near Asia City here Nov 11. Kota Kinabalu police chief Asst Comm M. Chandra said the victims were robbed of their smartphones, money, ATM cards and identification documents in the 11.40pm incident. They lodged a report soon after and with information, police arrested the first suspect here at about 9.10pm on Nov 14. "The second suspect, believed to be the mastermind in this case, was nabbed at about 5am the next day," ACP Chandra said.
