The shrine saw Wednesday a stronger presence of security forces who have been mobilized to set up security. President Kais Saied chaired a national security meeting also Wednesday, a day after the attack. The battle ended with the death of the attacking officer, another officer and two civilians. Nine other people including four security forces were wounded in the gun battle. Tunisia since the revolution has witnessed a scourge of attacks that claimed lives of hundreds of people including foreign tourists.
