Air Force One describes two identical highly customized Boeing 747-200B series aircrafts, which carry the tail codes 28000 and 29000 and the Air Force designation VC-25A. From Presidents Roosevelt to Trump, Boeing airplanes have transported US presidents around the world. Air Force One comes equipped with classified defence system and multi-frequency radios for air-to-air, air-to-ground and satellite communications. Technically, Air Force One is used to describe any Air Force aircraft carrying the President — but since the middle of the 20th century, it has been standard practice to refer to specific planes that are equipped to transport the Commander-in-Chief. Reportedly, Air Force One planes are based at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, near Washington, D.C., and are assigned to the 89th Airlift Wing of the Air Force's Air Mobility Command.
