New Delhi, Jan. 17: The eastern zonal bench of the National Green Tribunal today passed several strictures to improve the environment of Puri. "The bench passed the order as the railway authorities did not bother to turn up despite several notices. Representatives of both the state government and Puri municipality were present during the hearing. The bench also came down heavily on the use of polluting generators that dot the sea beach. It directed the authorities concerned to stop the use of noisy fume belching generators on the sea beach.
