New Delhi, Jan. 17: The Congress today said it would contest the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections with the Samajwadi Party and that a grand alliance including other parties was being worked out. Akhilesh, Rahul Akhilesh also said that his uncle Ram Gopal Yadav's statement was "correct". "Details of a mahagathbandhan to accommodate other parties are being worked out," said Azad, who reached Lucknow with state Congress chief Raj Babbar. The party's chief ministerial candidate, Sheila Dikshit, said today: "There wouldn't be two CM candidates if we go for an alliance. Another former Lok Sabha MP said: "It is true our credibility would have taken a beating had we joined hands with the Samajwadi Party in normal circumstances.
