Wellington transport card Snapper has, ironically, been targeted by a phishing scam, according to a report. The company wrote in a statement on its website that it had been targeted by a phishing scam on Thursday. "If you received an email from Snapper inviting you to view a Dropbox file, please delete it and do not click on any links. The team are investigating," the company wrote. Snapper wrote on Twitter that it was a "spear phishing attempt" by a "bad actor", who had attempted to impersonate a Snapper team member.
