KUALA LUMPUR: Transparency in the oil and gas industry needs to be the way forward for the industry to progress, says MPRC president and chief executive officer Datuk Shahrol Halmi. In an interview with NST Business recently, Shahrol highlighted on how transparency and access to information were essential for oil and gas players to make their plans and strategise the company’s direction. "If you have information on what is the business opportunities for a company, proper resources and capital planning could be carried out. It is not a commitment on our side but a sharing of information on what our plans are. We have our plans, we should also share it with our service providers so that they can plan as well," he was quoted saying.
