A four-member bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain passed the order on Sunday after hearing an appeal filed by Green Line. The court also ordered the respondent to pay the compensation to the victim by April 3. Earlier on March 12, the High Court ordered Green Line to pay compensation to Rasel Sarkar within 14 days. On May 14 last year, the High Court issued a rule asking why private car driver Rasel, 23, should not get Tk1 crore as compensation.
