Millard, 30, of Toronto, now joins his partner in crime Mark Smich, 28, of Oakville, Ont., in planning to appeal the first-degree murder conviction. "Mr. Millard intends to appeal the verdict and a notice of appeal will be filed shortly," he said. Millard and Smich are each facing a charge of first-degree murder in the death of Toronto woman Laura Babcock, while Millard has also been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his father. Tim Bosma vanished on May 6, 2013, after going on a test drive in his truck with Dellen Millard and Mark Smich.
