Police say man violated house arrest order to celebrate Canada Day


A Brantford man is facing repercussions after violating the terms of his house arrest to take part in the Canada Day celebrations near his home. He was the only arrest officers made during the Canada Day celebrations, the police service said. In a news release, Brantford Police said the man was found celebrating the country's 149th birthday at a Brantford park while under a court order to stay in his home. The man is now back in custody.
