Tidjane Thiam ‘did not know about spying order’

Good morning: Tidjane Thiam will keep his job as chief executive of Credit Suisse after he was cleared by an internal investigation into a spying scandal at the bank. However, although Mr Thiam is safe, his right-hand man, Pierre-Olivier Bouee is out. The internal investigation by the law firm Homburger found that Mr Bouee alone initiated observation of Iqbal Khan by private detectives. Mr Thiam is one of the most high-profile figures in the City of London, having previously been chief executive of Prudential. Mr Khan was head of wealth management at Credit Suisse but quit this summer to join UBS.
