Thousands revel in 2016 Canada Day fireworks in Vancouver


Thousands of people crowded around Vancouver's Coal Harbour to cap off the Canada Day with fireworks. The last Canada Line train will leave Waterfront for Richmond–Brighouse at 1:15 a.m. PTThe last Expo/Millennium Line train will leave Waterfront at 1:16 a.m. and arrive at King George at 1:55 a.m. PT​ The fireworks started at 10:30 p.m. PT, with a barge set up in Coal Harbour and another in Dundarave in West Vancouver. Watch a video of the fireworks on the CBC Vancouver Facebook pageEvent organizers said about 250,000 people were expected throughout the day at the 29th annual events at Canada Place. Transit is running on extended hours to accommodate people leaving the downtown area.
