GreeceFree tests have been introduced for passengers disembarking at Piraeus, the country’s main port, in the latest measure to tackle a rise in cases. Many fear that social distancing is being ignored on holiday islands and the tests at Piraeus are designed to catch cases before infected passengers travel onwards on the mainland, where outbreaks have been reported in two care homes and two hospitals. Extra measures have been introduced, including compulsory tests for employees returning from holiday. On the islands restrictions include a midnight curfew for restaurants, bars and cafés. However, police say they are playing cat and mouse with parties held in private villas because of restrictions on clubs.
