EDITORIAL: The Government has done a lot of things right in the wake of the country's worst terror attack. The Human Rights Commission (HRC) says we have greater obligations to such victims under international human rights laws, and it's hard to disagree. The HRC points to the Norwegian Parliament's decision to provide reparation of up to $1.2 million for the individual victims of the 2011 terror attack when a white supremacist killed 77 people. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has said expanding that coverage to Christchurch victims would mean expanding coverage to everyone. As the Human Rights Commissioner, Paul Hunt, put it: “It's not about charity, it's about justice and human rights.
