Teri Agins and John Paul Hands were married July 26 at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau. Angel L. Lopez, a staff member of the New York City Clerk’s Office, officiated. She is a daughter of the late Phyllis W. Agins and the late William E. Agins, who lived in Kansas City, Kan. The bride’s father retired as a deputy regional director, in Kansas City, Mo., for the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Her mother retired from the public schools of Kansas City, Kan., where she was a first-grade teacher and reading consultant.
