Tension remains high at the Nandi-Kisumu border after two more people were reported dead in ethnic clashes at Kopere area. A man has been reportedly shot dead by a poisoned arrow moments ago near Songhor secondary school. Two houses in one family in Songhor area were burnt down on Tuesday sparking more tension; another youth has also been reportedly shot by an arrow on Tuesday. Youths from the neighbouring two communities positioned themselves at the border armed with crude weapons despite police presence. Songhor primary school was closed indefinitely as security officers from both Nandi and Kisumu counties patrolled the border tying to quell the chaos.
