Toronto police are investigating a confrontation caught on video of a taxi swerving into a bike courier. The incident occurred downtown last Thursday on Bay Street, between St. Mary Street and Charles Street West. The video shows the bicycle courier riding between the curb and the taxi, a silver 2011 Toyota Camry, on a narrow lane marked by shared pavement markings. After shouting something at the driver, the cyclist slaps the taxi’s passenger window. The safety of our Runners is a top priority.”Ambassador Taxi service did not respond to a request for comment.
