Wisudhi Srisuphan, deputy minister for finance, said that most NLA committee members have agreed to reduce the tax-free ceiling on first homes with an appraised value to Bt20 million. An earlier proposal was to levy taxes against first homes starting at the Bt50million point, with taxes waived for the value of the home below Bt50 million.
