(File photo)But it’s not a simple road to freehold as the land has been classed as a gravel reserve since 1879. These may include a ‘right of first refusal’ option for local iwi Te Atiawa. Ron said they were feeling like they didn’t “really know where to go”, but wanted to try to get the land.
