One’s shelter turned out to be a monument with a cracked gumbad (dome), probably of the Sultanate period in Mehrauli with an unmarked grave. Sitting on it was a huddled up figure with a grisly beard and long unkempt hair. The leaking gumbad reminded one of Hassan Gangoo, the destitute boy who, along with Prince Juma (later Mohammad bin Tughlaq) used to visit Hazrat Nizamuddin’s Khangah. Thunder and lightning release this electricity and it is believed to affect the minds of people who are mystically inclined. That means that the electricity in the sky is more powerful than the one we use for our daily needs.
