The victim’s father filed a case over the murder accusing Sylhet BCL General Secretary Raihan Chowdhury, BCL activist Tofail Ahmed and his brother Fakhrul Islam, ten others and five unidentified persons. “The dismissal of the branch committee was decided at an emergency meeting of the Bangladesh Chhatra League’s central committee,” the notice said. The curriculum vitae must be submitted to the Sylhet district BCL acting leaders by Oct 25. Police have detained BCL activist Tofail and his brother Fakhrul Islam over the case.
