Khaleda returned to Dhaka from London on Oct 18 after warrants were issued against her in three cases. Barrister Amir Uddin Sarker, Abdur Rezak Khan, AJ Mohammad Ali and Sanaullah Miah represented Khaleda Zia at the hearing. The Zia Charitable Trust graft case was filed by the ACC in 2010 against the BNP chief and three others for embezzlement of Tk 31.5 million. The Zia Orphanage Trust graft case was filed in 2008. A special court set up in Old Dhaka is hearing the graft cases against Khaleda.
