SAN PEDRO CITY, Philippines – A suspected illegal drug pusher was killed in a buy-bust operation in Cabuyao City in Laguna province early on Friday, police said. Eleazar Matta said suspect Fernando Sevilla was included in the police watchlist for drugs and was the target of the buy-bust operation. ADVERTISEMENTPolice said the bust was conducted at around 2 a.m. at Sevilla’s house in the Mabuhay Subdivision, Barangay (village) Mamatid. During the bust, police said Sevilla suddenly pulled out a gun and opened fire at the undercover operatives, triggering the shootout. Recovered at the scene was .38 caliber revolver and the still undetermined amount of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth).
