He further said, acting on a tip-off that a gang of robbers had gathered near Khandakarpara in Teknaf, a RAB patrol team conducted a drive there. As soon as the patrol team arrived, the robbers opened fire at them, forcing RAB members to fire back in self-defence. Later, they found Ishak's bullet-ridden body on the spot and took him to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, he added. RAB also recovered two guns and 6 rounds of bullets from the spot and a case has been filed at Teknaf police station in connection with the incident, he concluded.
