As Jason Anderson embarked on the 2018 Monster Energy AMA Supercross season, he encountered a window of opportunity that had never been wider. The window expanded even farther after Marvin Musquin, the 2017 Monster Energy Cup champion, lost momentum after an early-season shoulder injury. Armed with a bevy of marketable stars such as Anderson, Musquin and Eli Tomac, Monster Energy Supercross interest hit a crescendo in 2018. Renamed Feld Entertainment Motor Sports following the acquition, the division produces a litany of motor sport shows such as AMA Supercross, Monster Jam and AMSOIL Arenacross. Throughout the season, Supercross experimented with several new initiatives in an effort to drive fan engagement.
