Because of the success of the start-ups, the country has seen a rise in venture capital firms and angel investors who have been supporting these growing companies. The Covid-19 pandemic is threatening the start-up and venture capital ecosystem we have built over the years and the crisis has already put it on the verge of collapse. If start-ups in Bangladesh experience a hindrance, the end of innovation is inevitable, which will take our country’s advancement at least 12 years back. Germany has declared $55bn to help small businesses and the self-employed avoid bankruptcy with cash payments up to $16,225 and interest-free tax deferrals until year-end. Italy has declared a $28bn financial aid package with the inclusion of tax credits up to $22,000 annually for its small businesses.
