A French soldier has opened fire and wounded a man armed with a knife after he tried to enter the Louvre museum in central Paris carrying a suitcase. One source said the man had been trying to get into the museum's underground shop and had attacked another soldier before being shot and seriously wounded. CHARLES PLATIAU/REUTERS France has been hit by a series of terror attacks during the past two years. The attacker was gravely wounded after the soldier fired five shots, while the soldier suffered a scalp injury and was "slightly wounded" in the attack.
