's Coroners Service has confirmed that an adult male snowboarder has died on Whistler Blackcomb. It is not releasing many details at this time other than to say the fatality is a result of an accident, not an avalanche. RCMP and the resort have not yet commented or provided information about the death. The popular resort opened for the season on Wednesday.
