Dunedin Santa Parade Trust chairman Mark Laughton on Santa’s float, the first float to be built for the parade 20 years ago. The 20th Santa Parade will be held today at 3pm and as usual, Santa will roll into town on his sleigh with his reindeer. Dunedin Santa Parade Trust chairman Mark Laughton said Santa's float was the first float to be built and had been in every parade for the past 20 years. In total, it took Mr Laughton, his wife Penny, Malcolm Dodds and Peter Mac four weeks to build. "The annual Santa Parade has announced the arrival of Christmas in Dunedin and will do for many years to come.''
