The one creative medium that is making the rounds in today’s age of smartphones is the vertical video, which in fact is an official category in international film festival, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity — which is meant for creative communications and marketing — and a full-blooded event at Australia’s Vertical Film Festival. Luxury coffee brand Nespresso has picked up the trend in its ongoing project, Nespresso Talents 2020, which is a short film competition open to amateur and professional moviemakers. Themed “Virtuous Circles,” interested parties have to produce a short film on how one small deed can help another person and inspire them to do the same. They will also be given a trophy and Nespresso coffee machine and capsules. Moreover, the first prize winner will automatically become the Philippine delegate to the Nespresso Talents awarding and enjoy an all-expense paid trip to the 2020 Cannes Film Festival.
