GEORGE TOWN: Penang police stressed that the 49-year-old woman who was killed in a shooting incident in Taman Pekaka near here was not pregnant or linked to any triad. “I would like to stress that based on the report by my officers, she was not pregnant. “At the moment, there is no indication of the case being related to any secret society,” Penang police chief Comm Datuk Wira Chuah Ghee Lye said in refuting online rumours that the victim was pregnant or that the case was linked to triads. He, however, confirmed that the woman was a businesswoman, and her husband operates an entertainment outlet. The shooting incident happened at about 5.45pm on Tuesday in Jalan Pekaka 1 when a pillion rider fired at least 10 shots at the car driven by Ruby Lee Poh Ai.
