The stock market’s winning streak continued for a third day on Wednesday, almost breaking into the 6,000 territory on growing optimism on the government’s stimulus measures to help the economy amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) rose by 2.86 percent or 165.17 points to close at 5,946.05, while the wider All Shares climbed by 2.39 percent or 82.78 points to end at 3,551.73. Wall Street also rallied, with the Dow Jones, S&P 500 and Nasdaq rising by 2.39 percent, 3.06 percent and 3.95 percent, respectively. Seoul climbed by 1.72 percent and Ho Chi Minh added 1.28 percent. Volume turnover was at 911.54 million shares, valued at P9.1 billion.
