Share:LAHORE - The Mines and Minerals Department Monday organised a seminar titled ‘Breaking Barriers: Women Role Models in Mining and Allied Sectors’. “The project focuses on gender mainstreaming of the mining sector which is a male dominated and highly technical sector,” he added. The first activity under the umbrella of ‘Women in Mining’ scheme is the networking session with female role models in mining and allied sectors’ women role models,” she added. They were a source of inspiration for other females aspiring to join the mining sector. along with other government departments such as Industries Department, Women Development Department, Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
