THE time is right for local players in the oil and gas services and equipment (OGSE) sector to pursue opportunities in the Middle East and boost their export earnings. Deemed as key export destination for Malaysian players, Malaysia Petroleum Resources Corp (MPRC) executive director Mohd Yazid Ja’afar said with a strong track record, players could leverage their capabilities to expand in the Middle East region. “Abu Dhabi is the global hub for the O&G industry and Adipec (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference ) offers a gateway to new partnerships in the Middle East, Africa and beyond. “Malaysian companies such as Eversendai, Scomi and Dialog Group have successfully made inroads and built strong track records in the region. MPRC wants to continue facilitating access to these markets for more Malaysian companies,” said Mohd Yazid.
