Scammer pledged to help raise £3,000 for eight-year-old girl with rare infant Parkinsons disease

A sick scammer lulled a mother with a disabled daughter into thinking that she'd raised thousands for a specialist bed for the three-year-old with a rare disease - before running off with the proceeds. Katie Baxter, who turns nine on Monday, was one of only 25 people in the world with infantile Parkinsonism - a severe movement disorder. Sue said: 'Katie turns nine on Monday, and is talking and can even walk unaided.
