DAVAO CITY — Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, who ranked fifth in Pulse Asia’s list of top senatorial preferences for the 2019 midterm elections, said she wants to stay as mayor of Davao City and has no plans of running for a Senate seat. Duterte-Carpio has shut down the possibility of a Senate bid, saying she prefers to be re-elected as the city’s local chief executive. I think our fellow Filipinos are interested in the work that my administration, both now and in 2010, has done in Davao City,” she said.
