NINETY-EIGHT indigent residents of Makabuhay Compound in Poblacion, Muntinlipa were hospitalized after attending the city’s feeding program on Saturday morning. They experienced stomach aches, nausea and vomiting at 6:30 p.m. prompting barangay officials to rush them to the Ospital ng Muntinlupa. A Muntinlupa City police report said the feeding program was held at 10 a.m. by De La Salle Santiago Zobel in Alabang, headed by school directress Evangeline Dela Peralta. Twenty-four of the 98 patients were sent home later on Saturday while 74 are still under observation at the hospital. The food served during the feeding program and vomit samples were submitted to the Southern Police District Crime Lab for toxicology examinations.
